Ingredients
- Raw Banana peel (Chhilka) - 1 cup
- Chana dal - 1/2 cup
- Peanuts - 2 tablespoon
- Red chilli powder - 3/4th teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 3/4th teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 3/4th teaspoon
- Spices mixture(garam masala) - 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil - 2 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic (lahsun)- 2 cloves
- Asfoetida (hing)- a pinch
- Black mustard seeds(rai) - 1 teaspoon
How to Cook
To start with raw banana skin mixture, first of all clean the raw banana peel and cut it into small pieces.
Soak the chana dal half an hour before cooking this recipe.
Take a frying pan and pour 2 tablespoon into it, upon heating put asfoetida, rai and garlic cloves.
Then mix red chilli powder, turmeric powder & coriander powder with some drops of water, stir the mixture well.
Now, put chana dal, salt to taste and 1/2 cup water. Cook it until chana dal becomes soft. Then put the banana peel and let it cook for next 4-5 minutes.
Turn off the flame and mix 1/4th teaspoon garam masala.
When serving this dish, warm it and squeeze few drops of lemon in it.
