Maska

I was bored eating dishes of boiled potatoes with almost same type of gravy. When I came to my in-law's house I get to know that there is a dish called "Maska", I asked her what is 'Maska'?? She gave me a surprised look upon asking that question. Believe me this maska is what is different from all other dishes of boiled potato.
Tangy & spicy maska is a combination of boiled potato, tomato, onion & garlic. It is a bit sour in taste, so people who likes "khatta" are more likely to like this and people who do not like "khatta" will begin to like this.

Ingredients

Boiled potatoes - 10-12
Chopped tomato - 15-20
Chopped onion - 4
Chopped green chilli - 4 (or as per your taste)
Chopped garlic - 1 unbroken garlic bulb
Cumin seeds - 2 tablespoon
Dry mango powder (amchur powder) - 1 1/2 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 tablespoon
Black salt - 1/2 teaspoon

How to cook

Take a frying pan and put on flame with 2 tablespoon oil in it, when the oil heats up, put cumin seeds & chopped garlic. Saute it till garlic turn golden in color.

Then add chopped onion in it, cook it for 2-3 minutes.

Add chopped tomato, mix it well and then mash the mixture in the fry pan itself.

Add boiled potato, mash them properly and add salt to taste, amchur powder & kashmiri red chilli powder. Mix all the ingredients well.

Maska is now ready. Garnish it with coriander leaves & onion rings.
Serve hot with chapati's or parantha's.
