Paneer Pasanda

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese (paneer) - 200 grams
  • Lotus seeds (makhana) - 1 cup
  • Maida - 1 cup
  • Green color - 1/4th teaspoon
  • Orange color - 1/4th teaspoon
  • Mawa - 50 gram
  • Salt to taste

Step - I

  • Take a fry pan and put 2 tablespoon oil, upon heating fry 1 cup makhana. Strain out and keep aside.

Step - II

  • Take 50 gram mawa in a bowl and mix 1/4th teaspoon orange color and a pinch of salt. Mix properly.

Step - III

  • Take 200 gram paneer and cut it into thin slices and fill orange color mawa in the centre like sandwich. Keep it seperate.

Step - IV

  • In a bowl take 1 cup maida, 1/4th teaspoon green color and some water, mix well and make a paste of it. Then marinade the paneer sandwich in the paste and deep fry the sandwiches.


Spices to grind

  • Tomato - 4 (boiled)
  • Onion - 2 (boiled)
  • Makhana - 1/2 cup
  • Coriander seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Green cardamom - 3
  • Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Green chilli - 2
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Spices mixture - 1 1 /2 teaspoon
  • Curd - 2 tablespoon

How to cook

  • Put all the ingredients in a mixer and grind it fine.
  • Take a fry pan and put 4 tablespoon oil , upon heating put the grind ingredients till it leaves oil in the pan.
  • Parallely, put 1/2 cup fried makhana and 2 tablespoon mawa, salt to taste.
  • Stir the gravy well and take a boil then turn off the flame.

How to serve

Take a oval shaped dish and fill it with the gravy then place half paneer sandwich and garnish it with coriander leaves.
