Ingredients
- Basmati rice - 1 cup
- Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Cloves - 2
- Black cardamom - 1
- Black pepper - 4
- Cinnamon - 1
- Curry leave - 1
- Oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Roasted cashew nuts - 1 teaspoon
How to cook
Take the rice in a bowl and gently wash the rice with water and let it to soak in water for half an hour.
In a pressure cooker, put 1 teaspoon oil and upon heating put all the spices, mix well then put soaked rice and salt to taste.
Mix 2 cup lukewarm water, stir it and take two whistles.
Then open the pressure cooker and spread coriander leaves and roasted cashew nuts in the rice then cover it for next 5 minutes.
Dhaniya pulav is now ready to be served.
