Mango Lassi

Mango Lassi is like a mango milkshake. It is simple yet very delicious. Made with very few ingredients plain yogurt, mango pulp, sugar & some dry fruits.


Ingredients

Mango pulp - 1 cup
Plain yogurt - 1 1/2 cup
Sugar granules - 3/4th cup
Cashew nuts & raisins - 1/2 cup

How to make

Take a mixer grinder and add mango pulp, plain yogurt, sugar cubes.




Grind the ingredients well. Serve in a serving glass. Garnish it with cashew nuts & raisins.

Aam Panna

Aam panna is a very cool & refreshing drink in summers. It is renowned for its heat resistant properties. Aam panna is prepared from ripe mangoes, mint leaves, sugar & assorted spices.
The flavor of mint leaves enhances & doubles the taste of this drink.

Ripe mangoes are a great source of vitamin C, B1 & B2. This cool & refreshing drink quenches thirst, relieves gastrointestinal disorders & prevents the loss of sodium  chloride & iron from the body due to excessive sweating.




Ingredients

Raw mangoes - 2
Sugar granules - 1 - 1/2 cup
Mint leaves - 1/2 cup (paste)
Roasted cumin seeds( sika jeera) - 1 1/2 teaspoon

How to make

Peel off the raw mangoes & cut into cubes. Put the cubes in a bowl half filled with water.


Place the bowl in microwave for 8 minutes in intervals of 2 minutes. For those who do not have microwave you can also boil raw mangoes in pressure cooker.


Now blend the boiled mangoes with hand blender. After blending it well add sugar granules, roasted cumin seeds & paste of mint leaves.



Mix it well and put it in refrigerator to cool down. Before serving just check the sugar granules have dissolved properly or not.
If not, then mix and serve.
Serve chilled, garnish it with mint leaves.

Wood Apple Juice (Bel ka sharbat)

Wood apple or Bel is actually a herb and has other names too such as Elephant apple or monkey fruit.
The health benefits of Bel fruit includes relief from constipation, indigestion, peptic ulcer, piles & respiratory disorders.
It also boosts immune system , fights off bacterial & viral infections. It is called as wood apple because of its hard wooden shell.
Their shells are tough & the inside is brownish pulp with white seeds. It can be eaten raw or drunk as juice or made into jam.


Ingredients

Bel or wood apple - 1 unit
Water  - as required
Sugar granules - 1 cup
Ice cubes - 1 cup

How to make

Take one wood apple and break down its shell with any wooden material because if you hit with any other metal stick or something it will lose its sweetness.



Now take a container half filled with water and put the wood apple pulp in it.




Mash it up properly with hands so that the pulp gets totally mixed in water.


Now at this step the bel pulp is properly mixed with water. Strain out the juice & throw away the wood apply extract.


Add 1 cup sugar granules & put it in refrigerator for 1 hour before serving. Let it cool down properly and serve it chilled with 1 or 2 ice cubes as per one's taste.

Cold Coffee with Ice Cream

I just love this amazing combo 'Cold coffee with Ice cream'. Simple to make and tastes yum. Coffee is actually very healthy & loaded with antioxidants and beneficial nutrients that can improve your health. People who drink coffee have much lower risk of several serious diseases.

Coffee helps people feel less tired & increase energy levels because it contains stimulant called caffiene. After we drink coffee caffiene is absorbed into the blood stream and travels to brain thereby increasing energy level and reduces stress.

So, lets have a glass full of cold coffee and get energised!!!!!!


Ingredients

Milk - 1 cup
Coffee powder - 1 tablespoon
Ice cubes - 1 cup
Sugar cubes - 3/4th tablespoon

How to make

Take a mixer grinder, add 1 cup milk, ice cubes, coffee powder & sugar cubes. 


Grind it for 2-3 minutes so that the sugar cube dissolves. Take out in a serving glass.



Add one scoop vanilla icecream and garnish it with hershey's chocolate syrup.


Chilled & tasty cold coffee with ice cream is ready to be served.

Lassi

Cool and chilled Lassi is summer's most favorite beverage. Its traditional in Punjab . Since curd is full of many useful benefits, so Lassi is also good for health. 
To beat the heat, yummy & chilled Lassi is the best option.
Sun is scorching and its time to get your throat chilled.


Ingredients

Curd - 2 cups
Sugar cubes - 1 1/2 cup
Ice cubes - 1 cup
Dabur gulabari - 2 drops

How to make

Take a mixer grinder, add 2 cups curd in it, 1 1/2 cup sugar cubes, 1 cup ice cubes & 2 drops of dabur gulabari.







Grind it once & chilled lassi is ready.
If it is to be served later then you can put it into freezer for sometime.
Serve in glasses and garnish it with dry fruits & fresh cream.


Nobody likes dry fruits & fresh cream in Lassi in my family that's why i didn't added that. But if you & your family members like that you must garnish the glass full of Lassi..
