Vegetable Fried Rice

Vegetable fried rice or chinese fried rice both are very much similar in looks & ingredients. No meal is complete without vegetable fried rice or steamed rice. Both are very easy to cook, tastes good & most importantly completes the meal. Today I prepared vegetable fried rice using some vegetables & spices.

Preperation time - 20 minutes
Cooking time - 15 minutes
Makes 4 servings

Ingredients

2 cups cooked rice
2 onions (medium size in julian cutting) 
1 tomato (vertical slices)
2 capsicum (medium size) in julian cutting
1 1/2 cup cabbage (grated)
Garam masala - 1/4th teaspoon
Chaat masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Chilli flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (quantity can be changes as per one's taste)
Oil to fry

"You can also add carrot & green onion if you like it".

Preperation 

Rub some oil in the cooked rice to keep seperate & allow it to cool. Cut the onions & capsicum into julian cutting & keep aside.  Cut tomato into vertical slices.


Next is grate the cabbage like shown in the image and keep it seperate. 




How to Cook

Take a frying pan and put 2 tablespoon oil. Upon warming put onions, capsicum & cabbage. 
Saute it but keep in mind that it is half cooked. Then put tomatoes, saute it and mix garam masala, chaat masala, mix all the ingredients well & put cooked rice. Mix well & some salt to taste chilli flakes. Garnish it with coriander leaves.


Vegetable fried rice is ready to serve. Serve hot to get the best of it.
